 I've been creating content and product for a long time...even before the internet (or at least before the web).

I've had several requests in the past few months to help companies and organization create and manage their own sites...and to help them integrate social media into their sites.

Here is a hint. "It's all becoming social media."


I've come across a solution which allows me to remain creative and hand off the day-to-day maintenance and updating of a site to the owner.

I offer "How to Build & Control Your Own Site - Coaching." I calculate that it takes about 8 hours to build a site for someone who has never done this before and is starting at zero. Experience has shown me that it take about 2 hours to learn the program, 4 hours to build the site and about 2 hours to review and correct the site.

I'm giving clients three options:

1. Doing the whole thing in one day at one sitting, which could be painful.
2. Taking the session over 3 days - 2 learn / 4 build / 2 review & change.
3. Taking the course over a 4 day term - 2 learn / 2 build / 2 build / 2 review.

The cost would be $500, which would get the client up and running and I would be there to help integrate other marketing efforts and to provide support services and simply be there when they need me.

We'll see how this works.
